Tranquil Day
Just another tranquil day
Flowers blooming early in May
Lying on my back watching the clouds
Makes me just want to sigh aloud
Oh cotton clouds of fleece
Couldn’t be finer in Greece
The gentle breeze blowing through my hair
Makes my troubles dissolve in the air
The narrow stream flowing by
As if already heading for July
And tiny birds are drinking out of this stream
And I wonder if this isn’t a heavenly dream
Such a picturesque day
My face glowing in the sun’s rays
If everyday could be so serene
Then it would be heaven unseen
