i tried to transcend
lust, to jump over the fences
of bodily superficial desire
which is the starting line
of this race called love.
i close my eyes trying to
see a spirit rising from your
body which is as beautiful
even in the darkness of my
own limping soul.
i imagine myself as a child,
getting away from the hold of
my nanny running towards the
arms of mother who just arrived
from a long trip outside the
country.
the winds caress my hair
the birds sing and the leaves
of the trees keep on dancing.
the skies are silent as ever
the sun as warm as the love
that you have reserved for me
when all these waiting days
will soon be over.
