Trash Talking Poem by Francis Duggan

Trash Talking

To call someone stupid does seem so unkind
For in everyone some knowledge you will find
Some people use their words in a cruel way
They cause hurt by the cruel words that they say.

In the type of person you are you do have a choice
You can be nasty or you can be nice
You will not be the most popular one in town
If you are always putting others down.

Cruel words said on purpose can cause much offence
But then some people lack in compassion and common sense
They ought to practice to live and let live
And their callousness can be hard to forgive.

Trash talking is the new fad of our time
And though it is not looked on as a crime
But to those who practice it here's some advice
You will be better liked if to others you are nice.
