Treading Water Poem by YURI DURAAN

Treading Water

Rating: 5.0

you are not a stranger here
in the depths of my mind
treading water in the
unkown where even I,
the author of my thoughts....
have not mastered the fear
of the deep

you are not a stranger here
in the hallways of my heart
where the walls cast a dim
glow, yet the echos promise
a repeated dream of morning
returning after night returning
after morning....

you are not a stranger here
you have been furnished with
the map, the compass, the
strategy and
the key.... Thank God
you are a good swimmer

nice construction of ideas and emotions here and the swim in the end, , , who would then not like to swim even if he does know swimming, , ,10
