Tricks Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Tricks

It's not happening,
I'm way ahead,
I've seen your tricks before.
You can try all you like,
I actually find that you're a bore.
I don't need mastering,
I don't need relief,
treat me as you would a thief.
It's time for you to leave,
I don't want to depend,
I want to take care of me,
until the very end.
