Tried Poem by Grant Lovell

Tried

Got your hands, covering your heart
From all the damage, like a bandage
Can only heal so much, till the pain starts
You'll cry in vein, the hand of blood.

Love is an illusion,
The pain you feel is a curse.
It's hard to function,
When you don't get what you deserve.

In your eyes, you have died
Behind all the lies, you're empty inside
Too many voices, inside your head
You're falling in pieces, in pieces

Torn apart at the scene,
You don't know what to believe.
No need to dream when you can bleed.
Rejections is all you see, besides tears

Despair, beyond repair
Tried fixing you,
Tried lifitng you up,
But I didn't have the right tools
