Trivial Existence. Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

Trivial Existence.

Standing upon the rooftop
I gaze and gaze at the darkest sky
Of the year, the sky that resembles
My heart, a heart laden with misery.
My inner impulse is overcast with
Indelible gray cloak.
People are self blinded by their pride,
Boast of their fame and wealth.
They are bounded with their material
Boastfulness, engross in trivial matters.

But this universe under which I am standing
With heavy heart, torn away by misery, is
Boundless,I feel this with my staring
At the vast dark sky.
Sooner or later, our entity be snatched away.
Our existence will stump into nothingness
In a moment without informing us.
