True Love. Poem by Alex Butler

True Love.

True love, it's a funny thing.
It makes you just want, to dance and sing.
When you find the one, who's meant for you.
There isn't A thing, you wouldn't do.
To protect them from harm, and hold there hand.
To be there for them, when they need A friend.
Hugs and kisses, sometimes aren't enough.
When life throws them something, that's just plain tough.
Talking to them, can ease the pain.
It can keep someone, from going insane.
When you see them down, and feeling bad.
If you see them crying, because they're sad.
Just hold their hand, And whisper this to.
Something so simple, As I love you.

Alex, I love the caring and sentimental nature of this poem. That said there are a few minor spelling and punctuation issues that ought be addressed: True love, it's a funny thing. It makes you just want to dance and sing. When you find the one who's meant for you There isn't A thing you wouldn't do. To protect them from harm, and hold their hand - To be there for them when they need a friend. Hugs and kisses sometimes aren't enough When life throws them something that's just plain tough. Talking to them, can ease the pain. It can keep someone from going insane. When you see them down and feeling bad. If you see them crying, because they're sad Just hold their hand and whisper this too, Something so simple - say, I love you. I don't know if you feel that these little tweaks improve the poem, but they might. Cheers & Happy New Year to you and yours.
