True Love's Embrace Poem by jayne jenkins

True Love's Embrace

Rating: 5.0

His eyes show only love for her
And hold no bitter pain,
His lips which caressed her naked form
Will n'er do so again.
His hands, so muscular and strong,
Stroked gently her face,
His arms had always held her close
In 'true love's embrace.'
But now he lies upon the bed,
My knife deep in his heart,
He swore of our undying love
And that we'd never part.
But now he'll spend eternity
In the arms of his new 'mate'.
She lies beside him, her throat cut,
My knife has sealed her fate.
