Tu Poem by Marlon AgustinMendez

Tu

I hope you have been listening to me.
At least from the corners of the dark.
You have listened to my hopes my dreams.
You have been reading my feelings I can only write about.
Everyone says to let you be.
And I am finally starting to see.
Maybe that we werent ment to be.
You still hold the biggest part of me.
I still hold my love for you.
You are still of importance to me.
You have noticed how I spill my soul out for you.
You know my feelings.
You have heard what I have to say.

My dear friend behind this paper & pen.
I am still the same.
The one you know, The one you love.
Just an ordianry man.
Now I must ask of you.
Lets turn the tables around.
What can you tell me. What do I need to know.
Am I the burden of your unhappiness.
Please tell me.
I hope not to be the thorn in your side.
I would rather be a good friend.
That can stand by your side and abide.
The darkest hours and the brightest smiles.
I want to be what brings a smile.
I am here. You have my attention.
Tell me what I need to know.
No lies, just honesty.
I need to know what your feeling.
All along you have been listening to my cries.
Now its only fair that I hear what you want.
Its only fair to listen to a friend.
Do you love him and need him.
Is he what brings your tears to a stop.?
If thats the case.
I can only accept it with a smile on my face.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you.
The last thing i want for you is despair and unhappiness.
So darling tonight.
As the millions of stars as my wittness.
I promise to accept your decisions.
I accept what makes you happy.
The only thing left is for you to tell me the truth.
I need to know if you are better off with another soul.
I dont want to stop true love.
I would rather watch you smile from afar.
Than have you cry because of me.
It will be tough.
The road is long.
But I will survive. I will move on after this is all gone.
You will always have a special pleace in my heart.
But if you need him. I have nothing to say.
I only want to see you smile.
Darling let me know what your heart desires.
I am willing to give up my happiness for yours.
