Tupelo Honey Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Tupelo Honey

Rating: 2.3

You always bring me love
in a form of a cup cake
so sweet and honey like
tupelo! the best kind
it twirls on my tong
and melts into me
its not the food
of your love
that sustains my hunger
my Beloved
its the light
of your love
that journeys in my blood
with every bite
my body
alive from the honey's nectar
my eternal self
from its flame

I like the journey I take while reading this poem. I am also a sucker for the word Tupelo. It's a good word.

love the way you twined a double meaning into this portent write.... musky and laden with the desire of centuries.....feral animate dancing and prancing in celebratory flair. so pheromonic....almost an osmic extravaganza loved it :)
