sometimes i smile when no ones around
my heart fills and overflows my body with joy
then there are days where sadness takes hold
overwhelming fear naws at my bones
sometimes i laugh when no one can hear
my arms imagine and mimic a loving embrace
then the empty feeling starts to appear
as the clouds brush over the sun
alone in my car, gripping the wheel
i feel you holding my hand
i open the roof and the clouds blow away
and the sun says turn up the tunes
