Turning on the Heat

It seems kind of odd to me
When you have to start
Turning on the heat in August
In the middle of the summer

Is it just a cold snap
Or a precurser of things to come
It just seems so odd to me
Turning on the heat in August

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
