Two Poem by Tiya Sen

Two

The roads were never empty before.
The landscapes were never barren before.
The clocks never marched to an expiry date before.
The sun-sets never missed the tenderness before.
Two leaves from the same tree,
were flown away to meet the sea.
With each wave they drifted apart,
carrying each other in their heart.
They were carried away to different poles,
trudging their way amongst monsters and ghouls.
It hadn't been autumn when they fell,
why the severance no one could tell.
Yet, they would travel these roads and bear clocks.
They would endure the landscapes and sun-sets like rocks.
Holding on to the hope of seeing each other again,
with every ounce of existence they could sustain.
And if they were never to reunite or cave into the pain,
they'd know their unimpeachable struggle wasn't in vain.
