Two Brothers Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Two Brothers

Two brothers

Of same milk, same sugar
We are made brothers.

Wide sky between us
So vastly different.

Core of thoughts for him is
Success in business, commercial

His efforts is to be good Muslim
I see him superficial
I listen; he prays,
I laugh at what he says
His words are what he thinks
Not knowing depths of them
He, an absent from words
Roots and what they relate
To from in Islam.

To me he is the Shepherd with Moses.

I, buried in my books and my room
Have remained an unknown, forgotten
To trees and bushes and drops in my land
Rejected am I too by those in New Lands.

To them I fly as does the dust
No even Hurricane
I drive my camel in desert…

Shouldn't we of same seeds…roots and genes be the same?

Are we base for Darwin studies?
Are we base and subjects to Freud?
Are we of Hallaj's and Rumi's loving care?

What are we?
