Two Pints Of Beer Please Poem by Darren Curle

Two Pints Of Beer Please

Much laughter and gossip we have heard,
And much argument too.

But where once life did flow
Now only shadow.

Once lifted joyously into the air
Now we just stand there.

There were times when we were pushed together
But now we stand apart.

Away from the crack.
No more words, no more laughter.

The time we had was good.
But the time we have has passed.

I wonder if we’ll meet again
And share a pint or two?

Well back to the dish washer we must go
Until the next time

Cheerio.
