Two Swans Share Winter Poem by Ima Ryma

Two Swans Share Winter

In winter time, two swans do be
Together in the chilling pond,
Not yet iced up for he and she
To enjoy now, not what's beyond.
To live and love the moment well
Is what these two swans seek to do.
What's in the future, who can tell?
The now is what counts for these two.
Each winter comes, each winter goes.
The swans do share the best of each
That's happening now, for both knows
Their future time is out of reach.

Sharing winter, rarely apart,
Swan heads and necks forming a heart.
