Two White Poodles Poem by Raymond Farrell

Two White Poodles

Today
March 10,2019
Was a harbinger
Of Spring
The snow banks
Along Bloor Street
Were starting to melt
Sending rivulets of water
Streaming down the sidewalk
Where I met a woman walking
Two white poodles
One with red booties on
The other with orange booties on
Prancing together in unison
With an air of aloofness
As if they owned the place
I immediately
Gave way
Stepping aside
To let them pass
For all their smugness
They were as cute as buttons.
