U.C Berkely 3/26 Poem by Eli MorenoDrew

U.C Berkely 3/26

I.
It is absolutely beautiful here.
With lush green trees and
Wildly grown grass.
The weather is at horrific perfection:
With cloud covered skies and
Gentle gusts of wind.
It just started to rain.
As if a higher being read my deepest desires
And painted them as I walked.

II.
This place has left me breathless and
in joyous awe.
You would love it here. I know it.
And I would love you here.
With you on my arm I would show you
the little I actually know of this place.
I crave to see your face as we walk out of that subway.
It would be the same expression as mine,
Only on a prettier face and a more brilliant smile.

I am going to return to this paradise,
Except next time I’ll be holding you hand.
