Unattainable Poem by Kid of Los Angeles

Unattainable

Lying in a deep blue bed of sea.
Sluggishly drifiting down into the painfully calming depths of oblivion.
Sinking lower.
icy penetration engulfing the putrid breath of life once held.
Miles offshore, fading into the scorched earth sand.
Looming closer to the end of the light.
The palette of black where color has no value.
A misguided belief in respiration.
Clinging clothes become the heavy wrappings of mummification.
Gasping for air in a death littered waterland.
Unattainable. Simply unattainable.
