Unbreakable

It took a few months
And a bond formed
We were strangers
Now we're so close
I became your daughter
You became my mama
Our hearts became one
Fused together
I get hurt you feel it
You hurt and I feel it
There is now way to split us
A link formed
A bond so strong
Impossible to break
Impossible to tear
Half my heart keeps yours full
And half of yours keeps mine beating
Nothing can break the bond that's formed
No one can separate the link that's here
Our hearts are joined
And will be joined forever
I am you
You are me
The love you have is unconditional
Never any less
All I can do is the same
Bonded together
Bonded forever
Until our dying day
With the love of a daughter to her mama
And with the love of a mother to her daughter
A true bond was made
Unbreakable it remains
Unbreakable it will stay

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
