Unbroken Poem by Gbolabo Adetunji

Unbroken

I am timid and tongue-tied

But I've got a costume

Made of boldness

I will decorate

I will be well

I am broke and bankrupt

But I've got a whitewash

Made of hard-work

I will garnish

I will be well

I am portly and plump

But I've got an airbrush

Made of work-outs

I will trim

I will be well

I am dismal and despondent

But I've got a spray-paint

Made of hope

I will adorn

I will be well

I am adjudged and abhorred

But I've got a pigment

Made of love

I will embellish

I will be well

Unbroken
