Unconditioned Child Poem by Nkululeko Mdudu

Unconditioned Child

She knows
the least
But will love
the most,

She has nothing
But will
give everything
She is you
and she is fit
for praise
though only I know it.

BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?

I don't know maths;
But you can
count on me,
I don't know science;
But we have
got chemistry

I don't you
yet I know your heart
And now I know things
And now I'm smart.

I liked to see that you had rhyme in your poem. It is always a pleasure to see a poet express their thoughts in rhyme. GW62
