Undeniable Truth Of This Love Poem by Sofia Moreno

Undeniable Truth Of This Love

How can I open this shell,
When you throw the tools to the sea?
How can I read this book,
When you put it in the shelf with endless books?
How can I smile again,
When you give me reasons to cry loudly?
How can I resurface,
When you keep pushing my head under the cruel waves?
But I can’t hate you
I guess it’s true what they say
Because I love you
What would I do without you?
It is true then, that my smile fades
And I can’t stretch my lips
My eyes wander around,
I can only see what I fear:
The truth that has been twisted
And has left me here behind
The stars don’t come out
I guess they prefer to die
I guess they know me well
That they choose to show me
All that I wish for myself…
