Under My Bed Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Under My Bed

Monsters under my bed
Giggling & cackling.
There must be five or seven of them.
Long sharp nails, curly weird tails.
Monsters under my bed
Loud and upbeat.
Five or seven of them at least,
Please let me sleep.
It's been months now of the same racket.
One tugs at my sheets.
Another makes this loud screech.
There must be a bar under there,
Listen to them howl & scratch
Reaching from under the bed.
Monsters under my bed
Giggling & cackling.
Long sharp nails, curly weird tails.
Soon it'll be noon and they're still at it.
If this keeps up I'll ask for a drink
Or two or three & join them
