Under Pressure Poem by Rob Lamberton

Under Pressure

Rating: 5.0

I dove beneath your sea today
With my regulator in hand
I'd been too long a wondering
In a dry and thirsty land
At first I saw anemone
And I cliched my diving knife
But everywhere I looked
We're waters of abundant life
I saw your colorful fishes
Among sea weeds and brilliant corals
I felt your waves wane and your tides pull
Diving deeper I thought about air
But my eye was captivated
By your timid octopus I moved closer
And I reached out my hand
The curious return of gesture startled me
I withdrew quickly then in a flash of ink
She was gone

A vivid depiction of the sea. The superb imagery of this write made me at close range with the beauty of nature. Beautifully crafted and executed.
