Under The Canopy Poem by Zander William Pearson

Under The Canopy

Lost in the maze
of riddles and rhymes,
twists and turns.

Only the walls to
keep me company.
As I slowly descend
forever.

Every direction
becomes forward.
I look up to the ground
and down to the gray sky.

The only exit,
is right in front of me.

I can see it, right here.
Open, free, the end.
Finally.

I breathe in the new,
fresh air. Smiling for the first time
in days.

And I turn around,
and continue into the maze.
Looking for the entrance.
