Under the rain I drench myself
Drowning the loneliness that I truly felt
With every weak step the things I will miss
Remembering the last of our bitter - sweet kiss
Under the rain I wash my pain
Struggling so hard to keep myself sane
Tracing your face in my mind as you leave
Undoing the tapestry of the sorrow it weaves
I walk through the rain with my head bowed down low
From a tearful goodbye we didn' t even know
With the haunting last glimpse deep inside me I grow
Weary that I 'll soon be weakened by this blow
Under the rain I walk through my pain
Make sense of what good that I may have gained
Hoping the cold would numb feeling away
From my skin to my heart even for just a day
Under the rain I drench myself
As I walk far away from the mess that I made
And with each lonely step I comfort myself
Resting my hopes on the promises we made
