Unfulfilled Wishes Poem by shonu Haq

Unfulfilled Wishes

Sitting by the window...
Gazing at the pouring rain...
The crescendo of thoughts...
Swirl in the...
Volcano of my emotions.
Is it wrong to deny... is it selfish to want....
To live in my utopian world...
Terrified of growing....ever....
And accepting the pain of this torturous world...
My desire of being Peter Pan....
Oh Tinker bell!
Won't u guide me to the lost boys....?
Wendy...don't touch my heart..!
Coz love is not for me....
In this island of loneliness...
Where death cannot besmirch me...
I am ecstatic......... I think....
Away from Captain Hooks of the fake world...
I am awashed by wonderland....
The blood of wanderlust flowing through my purplish veins...
The race against time...
In the fulfilling of my darkest desire.....
Never to be touched by the seven sins....
Awaiting the dawn of a new tomorrow....
With the promise of youth and eternity...
Bidding adieu to the sands of time
With this guilty pleasure....
butterflies in my stomach....
Beckoning yonder with sparkling eyes.... and a smile full of wishes...
I Peter Pan....
Rise with the flourish of a phoenix...
To journey to a timeless place....
Without roots....
Like the tufts of cloud...
An aimless sojourn...
To the realm of life.....
Alone....
And happy...?
Will I be ever.........
