Unheard Whispers Poem by Nashy Lamen

'I like you! ', 'huh? '
She couldn't choke out that statement again.

She kept the secret
as long as she can,
But to keep it forever,
Now until when?

Expressed through poems,
Expressed through words,
Not read, not noticed,
With whispers unheard.

She couldn't tell him:

How she melts in his eyes
as they glimmer and shine,
How he blinds her with smiles
he would show all the time.

How her mind wonders off
while she's thinking of him,
How she trembles inside
when she's talking to him.

How her heart thumps
to the image inside,
A picture of him
with her right beside.

She told him that day
what her feelings were,
But as I said,
He did not hear her.

She drenched in disappointment,
and just walked away,
For she was just speechless,
With none more to say.

Another month to gather all courage,
And many days to anticipate,
The boy chased him out, she misinterpret,
The boy's reply was just too late.
