Unheeded Poem by Ima Ryma

Unheeded

We went to Vietnam to fight
For freedom for We weren't sure who,
Cuz We can't know when commies might
March over on red, white and blue.
We went to Iraq cuz spies said
Folks there with W.M.D.
Wanted We the People all dead.
And thousands there got dead - We be.
We went to Afganistan cuz
Folks there would not cooperate
On bin Laden who really was
In Pakistan, We compensate.

What fated fight awaits next turn,
When, oh when, will We ever learn?
