Unknown To You Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Unknown To You

You don't know me...
I am the blind man
Truly seeing the light
In darkest of tunnels

You don't know me...
I am the deaf man...
Hearing songs of praise
In the cesspool of life

You don't know me...
I am the dumb man
Who speaks only the truth
To those numbed by lies

You don't know me...
I am the cripple
Traversing the Walk of Life
Catapulted by My Faith

You don't know me...
I am Helen Keller
Ray Charles Stevie Wonder
Jeff Healey reincarnated

You don't know me...
I am the deaf musician
Hearing the beat of a different drummer
Playing only songs of love and peace

You don't know me...
I am the dumb poet
Speechless by humankind's atrocities
Weaving gentle words of pain and wisdom

You don't know me...
Homeless paralyzed with fear
Running through your troubled mind
Sleepless begging for your touch
