Deciding to choose,
To be who one is.
Despite the sight of opposition.
One comes to face,
On a path reeking of negativity,
And a variety of challenges to erase.
Faced.
Not from them to be chased away.
Takes more than wanting attention to get.
If that was the case,
One's path would be paved and crowded.
By those discovering,
Faking to be devout of maintained faith.
Would make the choosing to be who one is,
Easier to take.
And...
Such a boring repetition to witness it.
Than the reality of having,
Someone feeling abandoned and left alone.
As often as a statement of truth,
Is heard to hear and shown to be true.
Without imitating unmistakably,
The one who has not only devout faith.
But also on a mission,
To stay and be who they are.
Without asking for approval or permission!
