Unnamed Father Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Unnamed Father

There is a father who is unaware
of a common bond that he shares
In the heat of passion he bestowed
the gift of life a seed was sowed

The lovely young woman he once favored
did not tell a secret even as she labored
The father's name was never to be revealed
A son ponders why his mom's lips are sealed

The boy has become a strong tall young lad
His smile would gladden the heart of any dad
On this day that honors fathers there is cloud
Sorry, your proud moment is not allowed
