Unsavory Characters Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Unsavory Characters

Unsavory characters
Loudmouth followers of the great solitude
Room clearing arrivals
Stern talking to's from lesser friends
"Why do you associate with unsavoury characters? "

People who don't tuck in their shirts
Who don't try to lose weight
Who indulge in lust and gluttony and sins in a Brigadoon that appears when you want it

But to want it
You must be willing to pass judgement on unsavory characters
Roll your eyes, laugh at them, make insulting comments under your breath

I know better because I saw strange pairings of people, different races, different ages
Odd combinations in groups of five or six
Trained in pattern analysis, I responded in confusion at first

Unsavory characters
Tripping uncomfortable settings on what we think people should be all about
Deviate from a pre-set conditioned like of certain features together
Certain features allied like an axis - Their unsavory appearance is a kind of fascism
