Unspoken Poem by Cheyenne Ringuette

Unspoken

Rating: 4.0

Slipping away
like water through my fingers
funny how sweet memories bring
pain that tends to linger
every single passing day
is a hammer to my heart
every word I didn't say
is a nail that plays the part

The canyons in between us write
the melodies of yesterday
silent whispers of tomorrow
offer me a swift escape
raindrops fall from scarlet skies
and softly sing me lullabies
reminding me
of new beginnings
