Unspoken Words Poem by Shirley K.W. Ka

Unspoken Words

Sometimes when I’m lying in my bed at night,
I battle to fall asleep.
So much is going through my mind.
I wondered if you’d ever know: how much you keep me up?
Every time I closed my eyes,
I see you smiling; your gentle laughter’s in my ears.
Yet I wondered, and wondered more,
Why I saw sorrow in your eyes?
I wish I knew, but dared not ask:
What brings you nightmares late at night?
I’m in no position to touch the locks,
So I hope she’d make it right.
While I'll just try to be a friend;
An acquaintance when you need;
Someone who you know will hold you tight,
When sadness, sorrow leaks...
I’ll stay out of radius to save you trouble,
And try my best to restrict the lines,
But every time you look at me,
I’ll send you a smile with a happy face,
And hope that one day, I’ll see that you
Return a real smile back to me.

silence is louder than spoken words..your silent care and love will surely reciprocate the lovely smile.. well composed.

Very touching and sensitive. You are blessed with an ability to read someone's eyes. They speak a lot especially when no words are said. A truly heart-to-heart message.
