I battle to fall asleep.
So much is going through my mind.
I wondered if you’d ever know: how much you keep me up?

Dark Allies on an empty street,
Only silence fills the gaps.
Nothing shines to give a guide,
Or inspires one to step inside.

One side Red
One side Blue
With a Devil's strike it split in two
Wound wide open it starts to bleed

I feel no straining pain
Nor beating heart
I feel no cold, in the frost
Numbed to the core

If only it was a rock inside my chest,
A heart carved out of steal,
That beats not, moves not or cursed to feel;
Emotions born to burn, and shatter dreams.

Each Bird came with a set of Wings,
Like out of Adam God made Eve.
A promising flight by a fastened bond,
A promising height that scrapes the sky.

A common matter in daily use,
A familiar touch in caress.
Seldom preferred when choices emerge,
to sooth and hydrate my thirst.

My Love for you is a Monster
That feeds on my Flesh and Soul;
It appears in the darkest hours,
to Tear,

I live in My Own World, people say;
Absent minded into space.
I’ll dance around and smile at all,
Embracing treasures I value.
