Unsung Poem by Megan McDevitt

Unsung

Im sitting here but your no wwhere in sight
my heart is breakign from the silence tonight,
the usnpken words,
the unsung melody
the way you walked away
and didnt look back at me
i wonder if you care at all,
when all i see are the whites of the wall,
when you look at me
with fear in your heart
my life, my everything was torn apart.
I can sing you a song
that lies in my heart
, sing back to you the unspken words'
that tores us apart
I can show you the reasons
why i do what i do
that i've never falling in love
never untill you.
You brought my tomorrows
and turned them into yesterdays
wiped my tears and promised me
better days.
But it looked so easy
for you to walk away
like the pain in my heart
wasnt enough for you to stay
and sometimes it seems so easy
just to walk away
to froget about tomorrow
to live for today
but its no that easy
when your heart wants to staye
and the hurt i feel, wont go away
But the love i feel wont subside
i told you before, in my heart it will hide
And you can kill me with you silence
and that unsung melody
and i can sing you back the words
everything you DIDNT say to me.
ANd i; ll sit here and ill cry
and wonder how it wil be,
and what if you really,
werent meant for me.
Everything you say, is so easy to believe
But only when your standing, right in front of me.
Silence is what let me, Standing on my own
Breathless gestures, took you for there turn.
And now i only see,
not having you right here,
is whats killing me.
So let me sing you back the words,
the unsung melody,
and maybe the silence of my heart,
will justify the hurt you've done to me
