Untitled Poem by Jessica Lindsey

Untitled

Through half-drawn curtains
I watch you as you move
not out of obsession but
amazement. I want to learn
your dance.
From halfway across the room
I watch you as you speak; it's not
your voice but your lips & the
pause in my heartbeat when
you smile. I'm obsessed.
Through half closed eyes
I watch you as you breathe,
we danced. I ache.
I am addicted.
Don't wake up, you'll shatter my fantasy.
