Untitled As Well Poem by Heather Taylor

Untitled As Well

a young mind, restless and tired
an old heart barely beating
and long past retired
green eyes are open wide yet
they are mostly blind
beautiful thoughts visualized by
the eye of my mind
these innocent hands wipe away
each tear my eyes have cried
small feet ave carried me for years
none of their memories have
told secrets nor have they lied
it is lost, this abused soul
i am a zombie in a body that plays no role
my life was taken the second
i was born
freedom and choice from me
were torn
i'll do what i want so long
as i dont get caught
all that i cannot do goes
against everything i was ever taught
although my miond is filled
with emotion, i am numb to this life
