Unusual Experience
It was during my childhood,
May be at the age of nine,
I experienced something unusual,
Something difficult to define
I was sitting on my terrace,
Probably around evening five,
Suddenly I felt one with the universe,
I was amazed as I was too naive
I felt everything was connected,
I felt a strange vibration,
I didn't know how to articulate it,
Couldn't give my experience any expression
Now after so many years later,
I try hard to repeat the experience,
But never can I connect again
To that higher intelligence.

Ha! I've NEVER connected to 'higher intelligence', and, ....believe me, all others have a 'higher intelligence' than I have. Is yours a true story? Maybe someone had drugged your tea. bri ;)
I completely agree with you Glen, even I do not know what triggered it. We can never summon it, so true!
How to convey the impact of an experience like this? It’s interesting to me you had it at that age. My experience of it happened in my early twenties. I was just walking down a street with nothing in mind that preceded or triggered it. And no, we cannot summon this samadhi or satori experience. But it’s memory stays with us to show us what clarity is. -Glen

A one of a kind experience, Bipasha. You are lucky , you felt everything connected. Not all are blessed to experience the same in our respective lifetime. Very well conveyed and crafted.
Thank you Rose for your comment. I do not know if I was lucky or not. Like everyone I do have my share of ups and downs. To be honest, nothing really changed in my life after that...Only thing is it created a sense of seeking in me and made me realize even if some things do not make much logical sense still I can't discard it.
