Unwanted Poem by C.F. Wilkins

Unwanted

I'm the one you pass on the street
and pretend you do not see.
I'm the one you choose not to meet
while clutching your silent key.

I'm the voice that shouts the pleas
that you refuse to hear,
as you live a life of ease
and turn to me a deaf ear.

I'm the one you'll leave to cry...
the one you'll choose not to save.
I'm the one you'll leave to die
and bury in a forgotten grave.

No value placed on what I say...
just a face in some place-
a grain of sand blown away...
just a number easy to erase.
