Unworthy Poem by William Brooks

Unworthy

I fell so hard for you I can't move.
I would rather be broken and with you
Than stand hollow all the way through,
An empty void, without.

As another day passes, you still don't care
As the night draws nearer, my feelings for you remain the same
Waiting for the dreams to hold you dear.
But with this love, an enormous pain came.

Knowing you won't know how I feel,
To have you treat me like everyone else.
To be held at arms' length,

You brighten my day, pushing away the despair
Only to remind me of the impossible alliance of the
Kind with the Unworthy
