Unwritten Poem by Yande Phiri

Unwritten

My life i've copied down with much regret
of losing summer's shine or love forget
Knowing days have passed where deep beneath myself
The essensce of me hides away from light
From the sun that awakens anew a song in me
Scared to sing the sour melody inside my soul
And show me bare...naked to all.

Unrwite my eternity in misery,
My life I've spent alone in pain
Playing agonizing memories to sheild me from love hence hate
To shelter me and let my spirit rain
With burning fires of lonely sorrow and mournng
Raging flames lapping at love and drying out light
Dark and dampend spirit inside, years i've tried.

Unwrite my story of saddness and spite
To all around no love no friend no light
Re-write and edit out my fears; faced and conqured
My tired eyes heavy sad and withered
Pierce my soul let my unworthy blood flow
And fill me new make me adequate and endless whole
Mould my tale and let all know me
Give me eyes to hear and ears to see.

Unwrite the lies, refused to see me for me
Only to visualize the me you see in my reflection
Turn to dust beneath your feet
Yet still i'm trampled on, I try, cry, repeat
No re-write my story completey
Erase and change me entirely,
Write me new then tell my tale to all
Edit out my fears faced and conqured
Brighten my dreary weary eyes
Re-write destiny and my history.
Unwrite; re-write.
