Useless Prayers Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Useless Prayers

I prayed yesterday
Prayed for him to pull through this
Tears escaped as my voiced cracked
And hoplessness conquered my mind

I prayed today
Prayed for him to stay well
Heart bounced as relief poured in
And happiness flooded my head

I'll pray tomorrow
Pray that this isnt real
Tears and heart will collide together
And sorrow will bubble away underneath

I'll not pray anymore
I'll learn that it doesnt work
That God doesnt exist
That any prayers for me are ignored
