Utter Words Poem by jonathan levy

Utter Words

Utter words spoken softly under her breathe,
Unconscience of her words or muttered by her high,
'I love you' lingers in my head for hours while she lays to rest on my lap,
Unaware of the meaning of her words,
Love me, cannot be,

No one means it when they say it to me,
My family the exception,
And then its meaning is not the same,
The love I experience is only a myth.

The short escapades lead to pain as always.
Unsure if I was meant to find someone,
Wishing that for once it were true,
Hoping for one time in my life i made the right move on this chess board of life,

I am always left without a queen.
