Vampires Poem by imogen brand

Vampires

Vampires demons of the night
In how I want to be one. Sir
It is all spoken for
With my thoughts escaping out of my head.
I know you must think I am crazy sir
But vampires are not all bad you know

I know momma and papa says it is in all in my head
How would I fly into the night
And the wolf howling in my path
How the ruby blood tingles against my pale white flesh

Throughout it is funny to see the odd look
On momma and papa faces when I tell them this
Even the waiting maids are shocked to the bone.
Vampires demons of the night
How does that sound rolling of the very tip of my tongue? You say
Well. Sir.. I answer it is like heaven
Like a little child nipping on some sugar cane
My good sir I know what you are thinking

That I am too young to be wasting my life away
But you are mistaken for that I am all ready half dead

Sir for know I say good bye
And may be I see you when I am an immortal child of the night.
