Vanishing Poem by Ibrahim Sambo

Vanishing

Rating: 3.5

Quick
Ever
Vanishing
Are the rays
Beneath the stars

They rise and fall
Like tides
In the sea

The glints
Of fairy castles
With golden horns
In the sky
Are shadows of ghosts
On a coral Island

The gowns of Lords
And robes of kings
All-
Decked in gold
Fade
And rust
Like dead woods
Eaten by termites

Life itself
Is a winter
It comes...
And-
It goes...

Quick
Ever
Vanishing
Are rays
Beneath the stars.
