Vanity Of Life Poem by Arunesh Dixit

Vanity Of Life

Kings and queens myriads in ink,
Men and women innumerous gone in sink!
Taken something to land unseen?
Nonetheless all efforts to hoard were always keen!

Praises and rewards kept fallow,
Passions to contest and wins never shallow!
Plates and cups soiled and gone,
Smitten bashes will remain unrelenting bone!

Drinks and drinkers have passed,
Connoisseurs evolved and flairs are amassed!
Days and nights are already died,
Hopes and desires grow more at times' stride!

Life has gone and deaths rued,
Yet life is flowing out with happiness ensued!
Love and empathy without condition,
Will never ebb but grow in all time and season!

Friends and foes have come and gone,
One thing remained, is the mark of actions done!
Given or taken will continue to unleash,
Until materials from nature continued to cease!

Pillage, killing, usurping will follow unabated,
Until mother's last bit of treasure is terminated!
Brothers! Stop, lo and think where it will end,
Giving and forgiving will only save our home!
